Iceborn warmother of the Avarosan tribe, Ashe commands the most populous horde in the north. Stoic, intelligent, and idealistic, yet uncomfortable with her role as leader, she taps into the ancestral magics of her lineage to wield a bow of True Ice...
Ashe vs Caitlyn
Ashe's repeated slows still require a safe attack route around Caitlyn's trap zones and net retreat.
DoContest useful waves without walking through a trap route, and use scouting or allied control to make sustained attacks possible.
AvoidDo not chase a retreating Caitlyn through a visible trap only to maintain a slow.
Caitlyn: abilities Riot reference
P / Headshot
Every few basic attacks, or against a target she has trapped or netted, Caitlyn will fire a headshot dealing bonus damage that scales with her critical strike chance. On trapped or netted targets, Caitlyn's Headshot attack range is doubled.
Q / Piltover Peacemaker
Caitlyn revs up her rifle for 1 second to unleash a penetrating shot that deals physical damage (deals less damage to subsequent targets).
W / Yordle Snap Trap
Caitlyn sets a trap that, when sprung, reveals and immobilizes the enemy champion for 1.5 seconds, granting Caitlyn an empowered Headshot.
E / 90 Caliber Net
Caitlyn fires a heavy net to slow her target. The recoil knocks Caitlyn back.
R / Ace in the Hole
Caitlyn takes time to line up the perfect shot, dealing massive damage to a single target at a huge range. Enemy champions can intercept the bullet for their ally.
Riot's tips against Caitlyn
Keep behind allied minions if Caitlyn is harassing you with Piltover Peacemaker (it deals less damage with each subsequent target).
You can intercept Ace in the Hole's missile from hitting an ally if you stand in its path.
YOUR PLAN AGAINST CAITLYN
Matchup guide
Bottom vs Bottom · unrated
Opening
Keep trap locations in the movement plan before walking up to attack. Use Volley for reachable pressure without treating a slow as permission to cross the trapped route.
After Caitlyn uses the net, check her new position and the remaining traps before extending. Its recoil changes the approach and its slow can weaken your exit.
Use the arrow when allies can use the stun or a threat needs stopping. Scout the relevant approach before entering a corridor that gives traps control over your movement.
